Social Network like a Diva ... and Hustle!

“Diva is a female version of a hustler” - as Beyoncé so eloquently states in her song Diva. The word Diva originated in the late nineteenth century via Italian from Latin and literally means Goddess. That’s what I want to talk about this week. When I say get out there and social network like a Diva - I don’t mean be dramatic, overly demanding, or horrible. I mean get out there and get stuff done, like a Diva, like a Goddess. Which boils down to being bold, unique, and determined. Don’t be afraid of your message. Tell you're audience who you are and what you’re here to do. No apologies. Can you imagine a Goddess being afraid of showing off her abilities? Heck, no!

What do I mean when I say Hustle? I mean work it! Work the room, the post, the audience. Show off a little. Don’t be afraid to make that connection either online or in person.

This image is above my desk, and occasionally in my blog videos. It reminds me to keep working towards my goals. Feel free to print it - royalty free (I created it) - as my gift to you and a reminder to hustle.

Never forget that the dream may be free, but the hustle - aka the drive to achieve that dream, comes with a price. That price is the work it take to make a dream materialize. I know the social media jungle can be daunting at times. Just keep sharing your unique brand with your audience, consistently. Don’t worry about how many followers X user has. Do you. A Diva doesn’t care what anyone else is doing. She looks after herself.

Our businesses are personal, and sometimes we get a little careful and precious with them. This week, when you’re posting, put on the persona of a Diva and go for it. You’ll be surprised at the results external and internal. Don’t be surprised if you walk around singing “I’m a Diva, I’m a, I’m a Diva…”

Until next time -

Social Network like a Diva,
